Hi!
Made an account solely for this.
So, it's 2021 and after remembering this amazing game, I also remembered this add-on for the game.
Stumbled upon this thread (actually it was another one that redirected me to this one, but this one seemed better) and tried what you guys have been saying.
The outcome was this: They couldn't add the addon to my profile/game because it's old and outdated technology (whatever that means). The person that talked to me was great and tried to get this sorted, but his team told him that. I think there might be a little confusion on their end on what I wanted them to do, maybe they they thought I wanted them to give me the patch to download or something. But all I wanted was it to be enabled on my account. So...
I'll try again in a few days or something. They are willing to add it, but either it's really impossible to be added at this day and age, or there was some confusion on their end about what I actually wanted.
So, this is the current state of matters if it helps anyone in 2021 ahah.
Also, question, can I download and edit creations with Bot Parts, but not share them on Sporepedia? Or not even that because it gets messed up showing them in-game while creating/editing them?

Best of luck. I have an account activated with it from 2017, long before the Dr Pepper codes expired. It should be possible though.

Thank you very much for this post! I've did everything, but then Support just sent me a link to the discussion with link to the Mech Parts file... So I replied that I need exaclty a permission to share, not a file with parts. After that supporter went to discuss it with his team. I've waited 5 minutes and got a reply, he asked to check, and I saw that I've got it! His name was Hemant, he is very polite and gentle man. So, yes, it's really works, you just need to explain what you want and ask exactly for permission to be understood. At last! At so freakin' last! I got them! Remembered to try this again today and at the beginning I got the same answer back (The tool that allows us to add tis content to your account no longer works/the game has been discontinued/etc. etc.). Tried asking again if they could manage to change what I can share on spore.com, and he asked me to elaborate on that. Had to refer that I was missing an icon on my profile page (That I should have 5 [for all the spore games/dlc's], but only had 4 [missing the Spore Bot Parts one]), and that that was what would let me share creations made with bot parts; and that that permit is what I needed, not to be given content/download it. Now he understood me and went to check it, we verified my email and boom. DONE. I GOT THE DR. PEPPER BOT PARTS. I'm so freakin' happy, you guys have no idea. Anyway, as requested by the thread creator, here is my Sporepedia link so you can see I now have the patch: www.spore.com/view/myspore/HReachKidHope this is helpful to someone else, as MrVoprosic 's reply was to me, giving me hope that it still is possible. EA probably doesn't have the license to distribute them anymore unfortunately. You can keep asking EA live chat though and maybe you'll get a lucky one that'll attach it to your account. |
